Certification of properties

Pandox certifies its properties to BREEAM, which is an established standard in Europe for green properties. The certification process involves assessment and a scoring system in the following areas: Energy, Transport, Water, Materials, Pollution, Health and Wellbeing, Land Use & Ecology, Management.

An important part of the work is to certify all 20 properties in Own Operations in accordance with BREEAM in Use in order to obtain an independent quality label for the work carried out in the properties. BREEAM is the established standard in Europe for green buildings. The certification assesses and scores the areas of energy, transportation, water, waste, pollution, health and indoor environment, land and ecology, materials, innovation and management. The certification is a tool for improving environmental performance through measures in buildings, management and operations, as well as a way to increase knowledge and commitment internally to environmental work.

Pandox's goal is to achieve at least a Very Good rating. Pandox's ambition is to certify twelve of its properties by 2023 and the remaining eight by 2025.

Certification of Pandox's properties within Leases is also important. Here, however, consensus needs to be reached and cooperation initiated with Pandox's tenants before a decision on certification can be made. This requires upgrades to systems, technical installations and access to operational information. In addition, a great deal of commitment is required from the tenant's staff to produce relevant documentation, something that is currently outside the existing contract structure.
